Vincenzo Vicchio, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, passed away on January 13, 2014. He was 90.

Mr. Vicchio was born on August 6, 1923 in Acquaformosa, Cosenza, Italy to the late Leonardo and Giulia (Capparelli) Vicchio. He worked as a groundskeeper for Iona College for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife the former Giovannina Matrangolo, whom he married on February 7, 1948. His 3 children Leo (Carolina) Vicchio, Rosaria Proia, and Dr. Domenick (Kathy) Vicchio, 6 grandchildren Vincent, Alexandra, Anthony, Diana, Stephen, and Emma, also 3 great grandchildren. Visiting Thursday 3-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. Mass Friday 10am at St. Joseph’s Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
