Mary Virginia Ferrara, a resident of New Rochelle of 55 years, passed away on January 27, 2014. She was 91.

Mary was born on October 2, 1922 in Mt. Vernon, NY to the late Frank and Maria (Cervelli) Piperis. She married her husband Nicholas on December 21, 1947, who predeceased her in 2011. She was an active parishioner of Holy Family Church.

She is survived by her children John (Margaret), Ralph (Lorna), Paul (Jill), Nicholas (Natalie), Frank (Dawn), Mary (Robert) Monteleone, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her sisters Concetta, Josephine, and Nancy. She was predeceased by her sister Anna.

Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle. A funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday 10:30a.m. Holy Family Church. Interment will follow Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
