Francis (Frank) J. Hennessy, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on December 30, 2013. He was 93.

Frank was born on April 30, 1920 in New Rochelle, to the late Patrick and Anna (Hussey) Hennessy. He was a retired New Rochelle Firefighter, having served with the department for over 35 years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 8 and the New Rochelle Elks Club. He was predeceased by his wife the former Barbara Horrigan who died on May 16, 1994.

He is survived by his 5 children: James Hennessy (Karen), Sue Ann Power, Frank Hennessy (Marie), Nancy Morelli (John) and John Hennessy (Lynne); his 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and his 4 sisters, Catherine Cullen, Anna Latino, Maria Martin and Patricia Dillon.

Visiting will be Thursday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle, NY. A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday 10:30 am at Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
