Hector Giannasca, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on November 3, 2013. He was 88.
Mr. Giannasca was born on June 25, 1925 in Revere, Massachusetts to the late Ettore and Alessandra (Buonopane) Giannasca. He served in the US Navy during WW2 on the USS Intrepid. He worked for many years as a furniture manufacturer and was the owner of Superior Reed and Ratan, Four Seasons Rattan, Hexreed Industries and Rattan & Mica Corp. in Bronx, NY.
He is survived by his three children John F. Giannasca, Thomas M. Giannasca, and Judith Ann D’Andrea, nine grandchildren Gerard Koske, Mellissa Connors, Katelyn Trout, Jessica Tamsyn Giannasca, Thomas John Giannasca, Sean Bloomfield, James Bloomfield, Christina Bloomfield, and Carley D’Andre. He is also survived by his former wife Tina Spina.
He was predeceased by his daughter Lynda A. Koske.
Visiting Tuesday 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, NY.
