Carmen Anthony Russo, Jr. a lifelong resident of New Rochelle died peacefully surrounded by his family on November 20, 2013. He was 54.Carmen was born on July 19, 1959 in New Rochelle, to the late Carmen and Annabelle (Hyatt) Russo. Carmen was an enthusiastic music fan, a boy scout and he enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics. He is survived by his sisters, Anne Marie Pray, Carol Anne Mathewson and her husband Thomas, and Joanne Russo-Lanza and her husband Steven; his nieces and nephews, Christopher (Keri) Pray, Sara (Joie Lynn Valone) Pray, Amy (Kevin Compateso) Pray, Steven Lanza, Christine Lanza and Matthew Lanza; and his great Nephew Dillon Pray. Survived by all his friends and caring staff at Beechmont House. They are family to us as well. Visiting will be Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. 16 Shea Place New Rochelle where a funeral service will be held on Saturday 10:00am. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carmen’s memory to Holy Name Church, 75 Lispenard Road, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
