Joseph Valente, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on August 28, 2013. He was 83.

Joseph was born on February 12, 1930 in Serra San Bruno, Italy to the late John and Josephine (Tassone) Valente. He is survived by his wife the former Angela Cicoira whom he married on August 3, 1958; his five children Josephine, John, Robert, Annmarie and Andrea Valente; his eight grandchildren Nicole, Joseph, Anthony, Joseph, Max, Lea, John and Jessica.

He was a feisty, strong-willed man who loved his family, life, his wine and telling stories.

Visiting hours will be Friday 4-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Place. New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday 10:30am Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
