Very quietly and peacefully on August 12, 2013, almighty God, in his infinite wisdom, mercy, and grace gently closed the eyes of the beloved Alice Lileth Davis, and she entered eternal rest while taking a nap. Alice Lileth Davis, daughter of William Crawford and Agatha Greeves, born on January 6, 1919 in Portland, Jamaica. She completed her formal education in Jamaica. Alice is survived by her daughter, Patricia Dunn, son, Donovan Davis, daughter-in-law, Isata Davis, her son Trevor Archer predeceased her in 1994; sister, Dorothy Thompson; four grandchildren, Theresa Stewart, Bonnie Archer, Trevor Archer and Frederick Davis, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. She was generous, kind and a compassionate person who loved to spend time with her family. Visiting will be Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
