Adelaide R. Nilsen, a longtime New Rochelle resident, died peacefully on August 27, 2013. She was 86.

Adelaide was born on November 16, 1926 in Puerto Rico. She worked for many years at Citibank. She was predeceased by her husband Sverre who died in 1985. She is survived by a niece and a grandniece, cousins and extended family.

Visiting hours will be Thursday 5-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc. 16 Shea Pl. New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday at 9:30am at Holy Name Church, Petersville Road, New Rochelle. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
