Carl Mondello, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on July 31, 2013. He was 97.

Carl was born in Mamaroneck to the late Salvatore and Maria (Cuppola) Mondello. He worked for many years as a truck driver for County Welding. He served in The Navy during WWII and the Korean War and as a Navy Reservist for 25 years. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy (Perrino) Mondello who died on July 10, 1993.

He is survived by his children Mary Ann Mutterer and her husband James, Patricia Mondello and Salvatore Mondello; six grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his six sisters.

Visiting will be Sunday from 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday 10 am at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be to Hospice of Deerfield Beach, FL.
