Rosina Marie Lore Wool, passed on June 1, 2013, at Putnam Ridge Rehabilitation Center after a long illness, with her loving son, Jim Jr., and his spouse at her side after enduring fourteen years of dialysis treatments three times a week. Rose or Rosie as she was called by family and friends was born on February 27, 1924 in New Rochelle to Laura Ferrara and Vito Lore. Rose attended New Rochelle schools. On August 25, 1943 she married the love of her life, James W. Wool, Sr., (Big Jim) in Baltimore, MD. Rose worked for several companies in New Rochelle over the years before retiring. In 2001, she and Big Jim moved to Lake Carmel to live with her son and his spouse. Rosie was predeceased by her love Big Jim in 2006. She was also predeceased by six sisters and one brother. Rosie is survived by her loving son, Jim Jr., and his spouse, Bill Boguski, who took loving care of her for the past several years as well as one sister, Mary Barnes of Greenwood Lake, NY. We would also like to thank John Kislake, M.D., Michael Schoolman, M.D., and Martin Saltzman, M.D., and the Celia Dill Dialysis Center, for their dedicated care to Rosie.Visiting will be Monday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Mass is scheduled for Tuesday 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at Beechwoods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, would make Rose happy.
