Betty Ciardullo, 87 passed away peacefully on February 22nd.
She was born March 26th, 1926 in New Castle, Australia, where she met her husband while he
was stationed in the South Pacific during WWII.
is survived by Sons Robert and Ken , daughter Joan, daughter in law Carol, Carmen, grandchildren Carolyn, Ken, Lisa and Briana
and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband Emilio and her son Michael predeceased her in 2001 and 2005 respectively.
A memorial service will be held at Wainwright House, 260 Stuyvesant Ave, Rye, NY 7-10 PM, March
28th. On March 26th, she would have been 88 years old.
Joan Carson, longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on March 4, 2014.
Joan was born on August 7, 1920 in Albany, NY to the late John and Dorothy
(Hume) Carson. Raised in New Milford, CT, Joan came to New Rochelle in 1939 as a freshman at The College of New Rochelle,
which became the center of her personal and professional life. She received her Master’s degree and Ph.D. from Fordham
University and joined the faculty of The College of New Rochelle in 1945. She taught English for 36 years, and retired in
1991, at the rank of Professor Emerita. Joan was an extraordinary scholar and teacher, and was beloved by her students.
She is survived by her
sister-in-law Shirley Pace Carson, her niece Joan Carson and her nephew Alex Carson.
She is predeceased by her brothers John, Christopher,
and Alexander Carson.

Patricia Furman, lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died on March 4, 2014.
Pat was born on March 18, 1936 in New Rochelle to the late Michael and Helen (Fisher) Colombo. She worked for over 35 years at the College of New Rochelle. in various positions
including Dean of Support Services, Assistant Dean in the School of New Resources, Campus Director and Adjunct Professor.
She was a Member of the Ursuline Social Outreach, The Upper Room, The Inter Religious Council, and The Art Council of The
College of New Rochelle. She was active in the Democratic Party in New Rochelle and was the secretary to Mayor Vincent Rippa.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Paul J. Furman;
her sons: Robert M. (Margaret), Paul C. (Zoi), Scot E. (Donna) and David J. (Kathleen) her grandchildren Gus, Steve, PJ, Daniel,
Michael, Thomas, Zachary, Nicole and Matthew; her great grandchildren Olivia, Elena and Evan and her sister Joline Reagan
and her nephew Michael Reagan and many lifelong friends.. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Brown and her brother
Theodore Sullivan. Visiting will be Friday 4-9pm at Lloyd
Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. 16 Shea Place New Rochelle, A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday 10:00 at Our Lady
of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Ursuline Outreach
Center or Friends of Karen.
G. Peluso, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on March 3, 2014. She was 74.
was born on March 22, 1939 in NYC to the late Michael and Margaret Gill. Bea worked for many years as an administrator for
the College of New Rochelle.
She was predeceased by her husband Eugene whom she married on November
4, 1961. He died on August 1, 1993. She is survived by her two daughters: Eileen Peluso-Hoffer and her husband Dave, and Michele
Cassidy; her granddaughters Patricia and Victoria; her sister Mary Johnson and her sister-in-law Gerri Tripodi and many nieces
and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Marie Gill and her brother John Gill.
